2009 Best & Fairest Australian Category

2009 was a huge year for the Quebec Saints winning the Mike Pyke Cup for the first time. The votes for the Best & Fairest were compiled from 13 matches, 7 ECAFL games, 5 OAFL Division 2 games and 1 Exhibition match. All players put in a terrific effort and some made outstanding contributions on-field. For 2009 the voting system for the Best and fairest was split into two categories, Australian and Canadian/World, The voting was done each game by 5 people, each person giving votes in a 5-4-3-2-1 format for both categories.

2009 Quebec Saints Awards


The 2009 Quebec Saints Awards night was held at Mckibbins Irish Pub downtown in September, the Saints players got to reflect on the season that was while rewarding their best for their acheivements throughout the season.

Stark wins 'Williams' medal in the ECAFL

After a tight 5-way battle all season long Cam Stark finally claimed the 'Williams' medal booting an impressive 7 goals in the ECAFL Grand Final, his personal best. The on-baller played in all 8 matches, finishing on 28 goals with an average of 3.5 goals per game.

The 2008 Quebec Saints Awards night was held at the Irish Embassy in November, the Saints players got to reflect on the season that was while rewarding their best for their acheivements throughout the season.

2008 was an exciting and action packed first year of Aussie Rules for the Quebec Saints, All players put in a terrific effort and some made outstanding contributions on-field. For 2008 the voting system for the Best and fairest was split into two categories, Australian and Canadian/Non-Australian, The voting was done each game by 5 people, each person giving votes in a 5-4-3-2-1 format for both categories. Therefore a maximum of 25 votes could be awarded to one player in any given game, the Saints contested 3 games throughout 2008 in which votes were awarded.

2008 Leading Goal Kickers


Saints Coach and spearhead Centre-Half Forward Anthony Williams took out the 2008 leading goalkicker with a handy 8 goals in 3 outings, kicking 4 goals in the Saints first win over the Central Blues Anthony followed it up with two more in a tough day against the Hawks in the Saints second game. Finally in the ECAFL match playing only two quarters Anthony still managed to put through two goals both crucial ones in the late stages of the game.
